Ford Bronco Has Started To Be Like Land Rover Defender

By  |

We now know that there is going to be a 2020 Ford Bronco launched and so the vintage models have seen an increase in price just the same as the vintage Land Rover Defender.

The Ford Bronco vintage vehicles could be picked up for around $2,400 but recently at an auction in Arizona one car lover spent $259.8 million on collectible vehicles. At the same event last year fans spent around $9 million on Ferraris and Jaguar vehicles that exceeding $1 million.

Vehicles that would come in under $100,000 on the market are selling above their market price and this is true of the first generation of the Ford Bronco. It seems that younger buyers have a passion for vintage SUVs in particular.

The auction house in Arizona said that interest in them is growing and today a Ford Bronco that is in perfect condition would cost $47, 015, while five years back you could get it for around $23, 400. A classic Bronco would cost you around $29, 188 but you could have picked it up for around $14, 500 five years ago.

Recently at the Barret-Jackson auction in Arizona a 1968 custom Ford Bronco pickup sold for $82, 500 and a special edition Bronco went for $110,000 in Florida recently.

The most sought after model was produced between 1966 and 1997 and this is a first generation that had a boxy look and big tires with no roof. The Bronco was cheap at around $2, 404 and only 24,000 units were made. Hemmings will sell you a Ford Bronco for around $115,000 in pristine condition, while with Autotrader you would have to pay between $21, 495 and $77,000. Even models that require a complete overhaul will set you back around $7,000.

So the Ford Bronco of old is now on the most wanted list along with the Land Rover Defender before the new models arrive in 2018/2019.
