One would assume that with a new OS update things would improve in terms of performance but that isn’t what has happened with Fallout 4 and Windows 10.
While Fallout 4 isn’t really a resource hog, it appears that a number of players have been facing issues since Windows 10. These performance issues appear to be creeping up just hours after the PCs are updated to the latest Windows 10 OS.
The good news however is that one Redditor appears to have found a fix and so far it appears to be working universally. The core of the issue is supposedly being caused a number of the settings going back to default as well as the moving of the documents directory to OneDrive. To correct this, Fallout 4 players need to move their files back to their hard drive and disable OneDrive so it doesn’t happen again.
Give it a go and you should find Fallout 4 works just as well on Windows 10 as it did on 8.1 before it. Enjoy!
