Mods and Fallout 4 have always gone together but Sony has been trying to sabotage this and ruin the potential of Fallout 4 on the PS4. Sony revealed that they were not going to allow gamers to use user mods in the game for the PS4 and this ruins the experience that some gamers enjoy. It may even see some of them turn their backs on the console and go to the Xbox One or PC instead.
Bethesda said that Sony wasn’t going to allow gamers playing the PS4 to use the user mods in Fallout 4 but then it does look as though some kind of compromise has been reached. Bethesda said that mods can be used in Skyrim Special Edition when it arrives 28 October and then they should appear in Fallout 4. There is a catch though that some people may not like.
Those playing the game on the PC or Xbox One can use things from players and load them into the game; however on the PS4 this isn’t going to happen. Gamers will have to assemble things from what they have already and so you cannot customize such as the Batsuit.
Some gamers have used mods for creating and some of them that should work are listed below.
The Cheat Terminal allows you to get into computers to activate different cheats, such as changes to the weather and infinite ammunition.
Everyone’s Best Fried allows you to take Dogmeat along with a companion out with you when you go on your adventures.
Unlimited Building allows you to change variables to high numbers.
Unlimited Crafting Container allows you to store everything that you could possibly want close to Vault 111.
So it seems that while Sony has done their best to sabotage Fallout 4 on the PS4 they haven’t managed to do it altogether. But what are your thoughts about Sony?
