Ex-Worker Puts Blame On 2K For Mafia 3 Failure

Mafia 3 was supposed to be a great game and the series has many fans. However in reality the game has performed terribly and the game has lost a lot of money for the developer. This could have been due to the fact that 2K HQ isn’t frightened to show their artistic streak, but it has been this that also caused shareholders to lost hundreds of millions of dollars and also cost the jobs of hundreds of developers. An ex-worker has made a scathing report saying that 2K is to blame on the downfall of the game.

Mafia 3 took many years along with many millions of dollars to create and it totally tanked in the game reviews and the game cannot possibly make money back. The game would have to sell 8 million units at full price just to make the expenses back up, however it has sold fewer than 1 million. It has been said to be only average and it is full of bugs.

It seems that 2K may have made many bad choices and this could have led to downfall and closure of 2K Australia, which saw many job losses. Things began to go downhill for them with The Bureau: XCOM Declassified. The game performed very poorly and it wasn’t long before 2K Marin closed.

Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel also wasn’t well received and this was when 2K Australia bit the dust. It was then that 2K cited development costs as being an issue. The game sold only 1.7 million copies along with DLC sales.

But what do you think about Mafia 3, do you agree that the game is rubbish and is full of issues and bugs or did you enjoy playing it?
