With Donald Trump as president of the US there is the worry that the Dodge Challenger and Charger may be about to become even more expensive.

When it was announced that Trump was to be the next president people were divided, some ecstatic and some disgruntled, which has the country divided. Along with this the financial markets were thrown into disarray and Ford, FCA and GM tried to put on a brave face but they are very nervous.

The reason is down to the fact that Trump is known to be critical of the tendency of the auto industry to move production of vehicles that are low profit abroad to Canada or Mexico so that they can take advantage of the Free Trade Agreement and get more for their money. This means that jobs could be lost in the US. If vehicles are built abroad then they are cheaper and US consumers save money.

Trump has said that the NFTA trade agreement could be struck down and this would have a big impact on everything. For instance the Dodge Challenger and Charger could become more expensive. Trump does support higher tariffs on vehicles that are imported so that production is kept in the US and this means that vehicles price tags could rise.

The auto industry within the US could be isolated and vehicles built strictly in the US. But is Donald Trump being president going to affect the price tags of vehicles such as the Dodge Challenger and the Dodge Charger?
