It was revealed by the KBA that they found some software irregularities with some of Porsche’s model. Specifically, models that were powered by the 3.0-liter V6 engine and the 4.2-liter V8 engine.

Both engines were found containing software that can reduce the emission of nitrogen oxide. This has led to Porsche recalling both the Porsche Macan and Porsche Cayenne which is powered by the engines mentioned above.

A total of 52,831 units of the Porsche Macan will be recalled while 6755 Porsche Cayenne will also be affected. These are not the only models being affected right now as Audi has also suspended the delivery of their Audi A6 and Audi A7last week.

According to Porsche, their customers will be contacted by the dealers after an engine fix has been approved by the regulator. German authorities will also continue to examine the pool of vehicles being sold in Europe so we might see more recalls in the near future.
