Tesla nailed their safety test but they are not the only electric powered vehicle that can pass safety test with flying colours.
The new Chevrolet Bolt was taken in for a safety test by IIHS and it came back with flying colours. According to the test result, the Chevrolet Bolt EV was given the “Top Safety Pick” certificate.
The vehicle managed to score a Good rating for the small overlap front test, moderate overlap front test, side test, roof strength as well as head restraint test.
In the crash test video, it shows the design and the airbags doing a great job at protecting the driver and the passengers of the vehicle. It also comes with optional safety features like Forward Collision Alert and Front Pedestrian Braking system. You can check out the videos below.
The Tesla Model X also scored a five-star rating from NHTSA last week.
