Fans of the Chevrolet Bolt EV were happy to find out that the driving range of the vehicle was 238 miles. Now this figure has been broken down by the EPA and certified.

The Chevrolet Bolt EV has a 238 mile driving range and this is a combination of driving in the city and out on the highway. The EPA said that the range for the city is more than combined and the figure comes in at 255.1 miles when the battery has been charged fully.

The range in the city is a contender for the Tesla Model S 75D and the Tesla does come with a higher price tag, so the Chevrolet Bolt EV has done alright for itself. Out on the highway the range is 217.4 miles, which is superb as generally electric vehicles use more energy at high speed when driving in traffic that is flowing freely.

The Chevrolet Bolt EV offers a 60kWh battery and when using a Level 2 charging unit it takes just 9.3 hours for a full charge from empty.
