Although BMW has not talked much about their plans for a BMW i8 Roadster but talks about them working on one has been going on for some time now and now Automotive News Europe has suggested that we might be seeing one before 2017 ends.
It all started with the BMW i8 Spyder concept that BMW showed off in Beijing back in 2012 and since then, there has always been talked that a Roadster is coming our way. According to the report, BMW will be showing off the production model at the Los Angeles Auto Show which will be happening in November.
BMW did show us a teaser video last month and that was also one of the reasons why everybody thinks that BMW is looking to take the cover off this year.
Based on what BMW has to offer now, we can expect the BMW i8 Roadster to come with the redesign headlights as well as the iDrive infotainment system. It is believed that the vehicle will come with a 1.5 litre three cylinder turbocharged engine.
