BMW has a lot to offer at the Detroit Auto Show this year including the upgrades BMW i8 Coupe model. So what was upgraded on the coupe this time?
The BMW i8 Coupe will be getting an upgrade 11.6kWh lithium-ion battery pack that will allow the BMW i8 Coupe to offer about 34miles of all-electric driving. The upgrade will also allow the electric motor to deliver 12 more horsepower pushing the electric motor output to 141hp. With that, the total output of the vehicle will now be 374hp.
Customers will also be offered a 20inch wheels option along with new color options like the E-Copper metallic and Donington Grey metallic color. On the inside, the BMW i8 Coupe will be getting the new Accaro eCopper interior color.
Besides the Coupe, BMW also reveal news about the Roadster. The BMW i8 Roadster Launch Edition will be sold with a Carpo interior design package. Only 200 units will be offered.
