There are two new smartphones available currentlyt who are vying to take the place of the iPhone 4S on Verizon – the Samsung Galaxy S3 and the HTC DROID Incredible 4G LTE. Now if you’re at the end of your contract and can’t pick between the two new Androids or the very popular iPhone 4S, check out this quick test drive that we did of each of the devices in Verizon’s store. This is supplementary to the full review we did of all 3 devices last week that went into more detail.
Verizon Samsung Galaxy S3 vs iPhone 4S vs HTC DROID Incredible 4G LTE (single day test drive)
In regards to routine use the iPhone 4S performs very well and takes around half a day to set up all the settings, accounts and download apps. The iPhone 4S of course doesn’t run iOS 6 yet so is missing features like turn by turn navigation which is readily available in both rival Androids.
The Samsung Galaxy S3 has been designed with usefulness and power and of course it is big and sleek. It runs Android and it surpasses the iPhone 4S when it comes to hardware, customizability and even surfing speeds (LTE). ICS has also helped to ensure that the mobile experience is actually more mobile and less of being a computer on a phone. This was a problem with other Android operating systems. In just 45 minutes you can set the phone up how you want it. Perhaps the only drawback is the size of it and it takes a lot of room in the pocket and cannot be used comfortably if you’re used to normal sized phones in the past.
The HTC Incredible 4G LTE has the power of the S3 and it is just a little bit bigger than the iPhone 4S. On the downside it doesn’t have the camera, screen resolution, or style and design of the Samsung Galaxy S3 but when it comes to technology they are almost matched. The HTC DROID Incredible 4G LTE has a decent camera although we would find it fall behind the iPhone 4S and Samsung Galaxy S3.or average camera. In the end comfort and average camera win and the Incredible 4G LTE comes out on top. However which of these great phones might be the best for you, is down to you, as it’s all about which one works for you.
