Samsung Galaxy S3 Android 4.2.1 Update For T-Mobile & AT&T Available Now Unofficially

If you are the owner of a Samsung Galaxy S3 with AT&T or T-Mobile then you will be pleased to know that the AOKP team have released a custom ROM with the build of AOKP JB 4.2.1. If you want this you do have to make sure that you have the branded version of the handset from T-Mobile or AT&T. The ROM has been based on Jelly Bean 4.2.1 which is the latest Android update.

AOKP is a well used ROM however at the moment this one is still being developed and so it does have some bugs and issues but no major problems have been reported at the moment.

The Samsung Galaxy S3 ROM was revealed today and it comes with numerous features. These include custom boot animation, notification background, custom carrier label, status bar brightness slider, RAM Bar and Kill All buttons, along with Power menu choices and boot animation choose.

The lock screen comes with text colour that is customisable, music and volume wake up controls. It allows unlimited widgets along with the chance to hide the page hints on the initial page.

The status bar comes with battery indicator styles, clock styles, signal styles, transparency for the status bar, customisable statusbar toggles which are based on Google tiles, alternative layout for signal, new toggle sound state and mobile technology indicator which reflects the status of the internet connection.

The navigation bar has fully customisable navbar, new menu arrow keys when typing, customisable navbar ring, navbar background that is colourable and recent menu that opens very fast.

Sounds settings have less frequent notification sounds, support for headphone and BT connect action, flip action, quiet hours and disable safe headset volume warnings.

Also included in the Samsung Galaxy S3 Android 4.2 ROM is Camera Powerkey shutter, call statistics, phone app/local menu, vibrations that are customisable, LED control. NFC polling and theme support. Be aware that multi-user support still has bugs.
