Those who are looking forward to the Motorola Atrix 3, aka Motorola Qinara, will be very pleased to know that UnwiredView has reported that the device appears in the Bluetooth SIG – meaning an imminent AT&T launch. When the device has been launched on AT&T it means that it can utilise 4G LTE which is offered with them – this means a network of a much higher speed. The device has also received FCC approval. Whilst this doesn’t mean the device will be released on AT&T immediately, but Gotta Be Mobile has speculated that it is likely to launch next month i.e. around the same time the Samsung Galaxy S3 will be readily available on store shelves for those who didn’t pre-order one.
Motorola Atrix 3 and Samsung Galaxy S3 headed on a crash course this July
This also doesn’t mean we know any more about the device itself; it has been kept very closely under wraps but many believe, like Gotta Be Mobile, that it is “AT&T’s version of the Motorola Droid RAZR HD”.
Now if you’ve been keeping up with the rumors, you will realize just how big of a threat the Motorola DROID RAZR HD appears to be for the Samsung Galaxy S3 on paper. The device is expected to have 4G LTE as mentioned, Android 4.0 (ICS) and a HD 720p screen. The leaked picture makes is look as though it also has the new MotoBlur, and not only that but includes a release date of 26th July, backing up speculation by reviewers.
Expectations for pricing of the device sit at around $99.99, as AT&T have recently become known for being reasonably priced with regards to their 4G LTE offerings, and the Atrix 2 was $99.99 which is why people feel the Atrix 3 may also be around this price too.
