Samsung revealed the Galaxy Note 2 back at IFA 2012 and while it was unveiled well ahead of the iPhone 5, its US release date looks pegged exactly one month after the Apple phone hits stores.

AT&T Samsung Galaxy Note 2 release date looks 1 month behind iPhone 5

When the device was announced Samsung gave the release times for Europe and Asia which was October. However for the US all they said was that it would be available later in 2012. AfterDawn reports that a rumor is now going around, which has come from many sources, that tells us AT&T will get the Samsung Galaxy Note 2 on 21st October. Now this is exactly 30 days after the AT&T iPhone 5 release date which is pegged for September 21st.

The Samsung Galaxy Note 2 is a worthy successor to the Note and it will run on the latest Android OS, Android 4.1 Jelly Bean. The device has a large 5.5 inch display with an aspect ratio of 16:9 and resolution of 1280 x 720. While the display is larger than that of the original Note, the Note 2 will actually be thinner at 9.4mm. The S Pen has also received a makeover and is thicker with a grip that is said to be ergonomic.

Would you wait another month for the possibility of the Samsung Galaxy Note 2 arriving on AT&T? Or will you jump on the iPhone 5 when it arrives on shelves next week?
