AT&T have finally revealed how much a Nokia Lumia 920 Windows Phone 8 handset will cost you if you choose to take it out over a two year contract. They have set the price tag at $99.99, which happens to be $50 less than what had been speculated. This also puts it at half the price of the AT&T Samsung Galaxy S3 & iPhone 5 which both sit at $199 for the 16GB model.
AT&T: Nokia Lumia 920 priced well below iPhone 5 & Samsung Galaxy S3
However if you are strapped for cash at the moment you might want to take them up on the offer of the Nokia Lumia 820 for only $49.99, which is the same price as the flagship from last the generation. If you have had your eye on the HTC version of Windows Phone 8 by way of the 8X, then you can get your hands on the limited edition 8GB version of the handset in yellow or blue for $99.99, or choose the 16GB for $199.99.
You can pre-order the Nokia devices from the 7th ofNovember and they will be available for shipping on the 9th. Meanwhile if you want the 8X you will have to wait a while longer. The device is said to be shipping out “before Thanksgiving”. So all we are waiting to hear from now is Verizon, who are said to be offering us news on Thursday about possible WP8 devices of their own.
On a side note, while the Nokia Lumia 920 costs less than the iPhone 5 and Samsung Galaxy S3 on contract, off-contract things could be very different, especially with the Samsung Galaxy S3 which has seen its price tag continue to sink since its release last summer.
