There’s going to be a whole lot of next-generation Asus ZenFone variants coming out, but the first of its likely many ZenFone 3 derivations won’t be arriving until the second quarter this year. It will be given a model name of Z010DD, and has recently got benchmarked as well and guess what, it’s already running on Android 6.0 Marshmallow.
Though that might sound fancy, we actually might not be looking at the highest-end ZenFone 3 variant here, since the best ZenFone 2 sported a Full HD 5.5-inch display. But, the ZenFone 3 has a bigger screen, 5.9-inch with 1280 x 720 pixel resolution! So, wouldn’t that inevitably make it the better and more powerful option? That’s not really the case; large doesn’t always mean it’s better.
Another thing worthy to note is that it would be powered by an octa-core Snapdragon 615, ultimately making it look like a jumbo-sized, low-cost take on the base looming ZenFone 3. So it doesn’t seem very remarkable after all, isn’t it?
Are you looking forward to the ZenFone 3?
