It is clear that the Assassin’s Creed franchise has gone pretty stale as they try to force a game out every year. After a few failed attempts at making the game exciting again, Ubisoft decided to take a short break and based on what we know of the upcoming game, it looks like the short break did them a lot of good.
Before the announcement, there were already rumours suggesting that the game will be called Assassin’s Creed Origin and that was what Ubisoft confirm this week. Not only that, but the part about the game being set in Eygpt was real as well.
It was clear from the start that Ubisoft wanted to switch things up for their fans. Unlike the last few games, the new game is a lot more open and has more free-form action. They also confirm that players will get to face a boss this game, something that has been missing from the other Ubisoft games.
They also want to challenge their fans by making the game more difficult. Players will need to take into consideration the kind of weapon and shield their enemy has before attacking.
The game will be arriving on the 27th of October this year.
