Customers started to receive their Touch Bar MacBook Pro laptops but instead of being overjoyed they were upset as they didn’t offer up the battery life that had been promised. Now Apple has tried to fix the mess by offering an update.
They sent out an update for the macOS to end the time remaining button that shows up on the indicator when the owner clicks the battery icon. People have said that this isn’t the only change that Apple made as it has been said that the update also brought with it improvements for the battery and now owners should be able to get the 10 hours promised.
A MacBook Pro owner said that following the update to macOS 10.12.2 the issue with the battery has been fixed. Now they get 9 to 10 hours and before the update the idle power wasn’t below 6 watts but now it goes down under 4 watts with 60% of brightness and with the ambient light turned on.
While Apple didn’t come right out and say that the update brought battery life improvements with it, they did say that it improved stability and the graphics. They are standing by the promise of people getting 10 hours battery life from the Apple MacBook Pro.
