Not too long ago, there were some new speculations that the Apple iPhone 8 might not be called the iPhone 8 at all and now it looks like we might have some evidence that could confirm that rumor.
According to developer Steve Troughton-Smith, the new iOS 11 GM firmware showed that the Apple iPhone 8 will not be called the Apple iPhone 8 but it will be called the Apple iPhone X. In fact, the Apple iPhone 7s and 7s Plus that we thought will be coming with the new iPhone 8 will be called the iPhone 8. That means there will not be an iPhone 7s or 7s Plus this time.
Some people suggested that this could be an old code and that Apple might have changed their mind along the way. Apple has not said anything yet but we won’t have to wait that long for the answer since Apple will be announcing the device on the 12th of September this week.
