There is a lot of speculation going around about the Apple iPhone 8 and one of the things that KGI Securities have said is that the device is going to offer wireless charging support. On saying this they also believe that the cheapest models of the iPhone may not be offered with wireless charger in the box.
The iPhone 8 is said to be arriving with a back made of glass and this should allow wireless charging without any disruption. It is thought that Apple will move into wireless charging in an aggressive manner throughout 2018.
The KGI analyst said that three versions of the iPhone 8 may arrives and two of these will take over from the iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus. The third handset is going to have the highest price tag of them all and it should be offered with the dual curved AMOLED touchscreen with a size of around 5.8 inches.
The sole supplier for wireless iPhones of the future is going to be Pegatron. This is due to the fact that Foxconn is ensuring that they can produce the AMOLED displays without any issues.
Of course at the moment you should take the news about the wireless charging iPhone 8 with a dose of salt as we haven’t heard the news from Apple.
