The Apple iPhone 5 has been enjoying quite a few weeks of success when it comes to sales in the US and we only have a couple of weeks wait to find out just how good, when Apple reveal their financials for the quarter. However the latest statistics by Consumer Reports show a trend that is troubling.
iPhone 5 vs Android: Android leads on Verizon, AT&T, Sprint & T-Mobile (Consumer Reports)
PhoneArena points out that the CR report makes it appear that the Apple iPhone 5 is below the top Android devices with all of the main carriers in the US i.e. Verizon, Sprint, T-Mobile and AT&T.
Handsets such as the Samsung Galaxy S3 and the LG Optimus G with their quad cores have surpassed the Apple iPhone 5 and the phone is having a struggle to catch up. The Apple iPhone 5 didn’t even managed to come into the top 3 devices on Verizon, with the Motorola Droid Razr Maxx HD and the Samsung Galaxy S3 holding spots one and two in the charts.
Interestingly, Verizon’s recent report revealed that more than half of the smartphones sold last quarter were the iPhone. So while the iPhone 5 may not be doing as well as hoped, iPhones in general are.
