Android Auto Could Be Killed Off By Google

By  |

This year’s CES 2017 event was superb as Google got straight to the point to talk about the upcoming next generation infotainment system for vehicles. We are talking about a full Android slate just for vehicles.

This didn’t surprise many people as vehicles have relied on touchscreen infotainment systems for some time and Google were bound to get in on the action sooner rather than later.

The first indication of this came with Android Auto, however many people haven’t seen the need for it thanks to a full Android powered infotainment system. This infotainment system was the highlights at the CES and it comes from Panasonic and runs on Android Nougat. The slate gains access to the sensors of the vehicle along with diagnostic equipment.

The slate is a very intelligent infotainment system and we think that we may see it arrive as early as later on this month. At the moment Google and Apple are the leaders in technology and we cannot wait to see how the Cupertino company is going to take this.
