The LG G4 and Samsung Galaxy S5 are getting their hands on Android 7.1 Nougat courtesy of CyanogenMod 14.1 after an experimental rollout arrived for the OnePlus 3 some days ago. Now more handsets are going to get a taste of Nougat as the nightly builds get pushed out.
The project founder of CyanogenMod revealed that many devices would be getting CM14.1 nightly builds and this includes the Nexus 6P, Nexus 5X, Xiaomi Mi3w AND Mi4, Moto G, LG G4, Samsung Galaxy S5, OnePlus 3 and the Zenfone 2.
The only downside is that as they are nightly builds they are unstable and they are updated every 24 hours so it does mean some bugs may be introduced along with up to date changes. There are some features missing and this includes Themes, but development has been progressing.
The CM14.1 nightly builds of Android 7.0 Nougat bring with it many performance improvements and new features, along with enhanced UI and notification menu that has been revamped.
It also brings Doze On The Go and this is an improved version of the Doze mode that was seen in Android 6.0 Marshmallow.
So do you own the Samsung Galaxy S5, LG G4 or any of the other devices that the CM14.1 nightly builds covers and offers Android Nougat?
