It has been said that we will see Android N being launched in May but just what is the OS going to be called? At the moment the name is something of a sticky mess as it has been said that it may be called Android 7.0 Nougat, Nutella or even Nachos.
People have been coming up with names about the OS and it might be anything that is related to sweets. Bear in mind that in the past Google has launched the operating system with names such as Cupcake, Lollipop, Marshmallow and Jelly Bean. Therefore it is safe to say that Android N is also going to follow the same pattern. So perhaps it will be Android 7.0 Nougat?
What is interesting is that a new OS is coming out and yet many devices are still waiting to get the update to Marshmallow. We believe that with Android 7.0 Nougat or whatever its going to be called, will come a new Nexus device. Already some owners of handsets know that they are going to be given the update to Android N, but some will be unlucky and never make it that far.
The Samsung Galaxy Note 6 should also be arriving in July and it may well be the first handset to come with Android N. the rest of the Samsung handsets should be treated to the OS too and these may include the Samsung Galaxy S6, Edge Plus, Note 4 and 5 and the S6 duoes.
With Android 7.0 Nutella will come many new features and features are said to include multi-window UI, bundled notifications, Doze improvements and direct-reply notifications.
Right now Android 7.0 Nutella is in the final stages of the development and we are expecting Google to reveal it in full at the I/O conference. However what the name is going to be is another matter but we don’t have long to wait.
