We got to see what Chevrolet will be offering on the Silverado at Detroit this year but the GMC Sierra was nowhere in sight.
While it was odd to see the Silverado twin missing out on the event, others think that GM was doing the GMC Sierra a favor by not showing it off in Detroit. According to the reports, GM wants to widen the gap between the Silverado and Sierra and they are doing all they can to show people that the Sierra is not a Silverado clone.
GM later announce that the new GMC Sierra will be revealed soon although to date was announced but they did add that the will have more differentiation than ever. The Sierra might not come looking like the Silverado but they will most likely share the same engines.
Under the hood of the Silverado is an upgraded 5.3-liter V8 engine, a 6.2-liter V8 engine as well as the 3.0 liter Duramax turbodiesel inline six-cylinder engine.
