Volvo has made it clear that they think electric powered vehicles is the way to the future and to Volvo, that future is only a few years away.
According to the latest report, Volvo will be working to make sure that every model they offer in the future will come with some sort of electric engine. Their goal right now is to have every new model electrified by 2019.
That does not mean we will only be seeing pure EVs from Volvo as they will still offer some hybrid models and plug-in hybrid models. Their ultimate goal will be to sell 1 million electrified vehicles by 2025.
Volvo also added that they will be offering both medium and long range electric vehicles with the long range models offering close to 310miles. The new models will also come riding on the CMA platform by Volvo.
Besides Volvo, Polestar will also work on releasing two electric powered vehicles of their own.
