There have been talks that BMW might be looking to release a new SUV model in the near future and new reports are suggesting that BMW might decide on the production this year. If this is true, we might see the new BMW SUV by 2020.

According to BMW Blog, the new SUV will come as an X8 SUV model that would be coming in to compete with models like the Bentley Bentayga and Rolls-Royce Cullinan. It was rumored that the vehicle will be riding on the CLAR platform. The vehicle could also be coming with a four-seat interior.

No word on what the vehicle will be offering under the hood but there is a possibility that the vehicle will be coming with some V8s and iPerformance hybrid engine.

There were initially rumors that the vehicle could be a larger X6 model but based on what we are hearing right now, it might not be that case anymore. It is still too early to draw a conclusion for the BMW X8 SUV right now so we will have to wait and see.
