The 2019 Volvo XC40 will be coming in to sit below the Volvo XC60 and while we know that the vehicle will be getting a new design based on the current design direction that Volvo had going on, we still do not know how the vehicle will look like when it arrives although the spy shots do offer us an idea of what to expect.
The Volvo XC40 was spotted while it was getting tested out in the open and although the vehicle was heavily covered, we could still make out some of the details like the shape of the headlights of the vehicle. We know that the XC40 will be coming in with the same t-shaped headlights that the XC60 and XC90 will be getting.
The Volvo XC40 will also come riding on the CMA platform which will be the platform for all the 40 series model including the V40, S40 and more.
Under the hood is a 1.5 litre three cylinder engine but Volvo might also offer a four cylinder and diesel engine option when the time comes as well. The Volvo XC40 will be facing models like the Audi Q3, BMW X1 and more.
