2019 Porsche 911 Isn’t Going To Go Electric Or Hybrid

By  |

It was said some time back that Porsche have the wheels in motion for the Porsche 911 and they are going to launch it in a two door as the electric Porsche Mission E in 2019. We also heard that maybe a hybrid version of the vehicle was making its way out too.

However if you believe the word of the director then this isn’t going to happen as there isn’t a demand for the 2019 Porsche 911 in electric or hybrid form.

If Porsche were to offer up a hybrid or electric version of the 2019 Porsche 911 then it would only happen a decade or so from now. This would be when gas vehicles were something of a rarity.

For the time being Porsche fans can dream about a turbocharged vehicle in the lineup, the 6 speed stick shift has made its way back to the GT3 after all.

Bear in mind that Porsche isn’t exactly a large scale car maker and they need to concentrate on coming up with a killer to the Tesla vehicles, the Porsche Mission E is said to be arriving as a 2020 vehicle.

So it is looking as though Porsche needs more than then 1,000 people they managed to get on-board for the electric vehicle.
