Mercedes Benz will be showing off the 2019 Mercedes G-Class model at the Detroit Auto Show later this month but we won’t have to wait until then to learn more about the vehicle.

Here is what we know about the upcoming Mercedes G-Class so far. Like the previous model, the new G-Class will also come with a ladder-type frame which will be equipped with three 100% differential locks and a low range. The vehicle will also get an independent front suspension and new front axle this time around so that it has a better off-road capability.

The 2019 model will come with a new G-Mode which will be activated when the vehicle is put into low range or has one of the three differential locks selected. The mode will adjust the accelerator, steering system, and damping system to make sure the vehicle offers the best off-road drive it can offer.

The performance of the vehicle is still a mystery now but the good news is that the wait will be over in a few weeks time.
