Earlier rumor suggests that the 2019 Mazda MX-5 Miata could be coming with an upgraded engine that would allow the vehicle to deliver a little more power when it arrives and it looks like we now know how much the 2019 model will be offering when it arrives.

According to the newly leaked documents from Mazda Canada, Mazda will be making some changes to the camshaft lift and valve size on the intake and exhaust side. That along with the other changes means that the Mazda MX-5 Miata could have more power to offer this time around.

According to some reports, the upgrade could mean that the MX-5 Miata will offer about 181hp when it arrives. If that is true, that is a huge jump from the 155hp that the Mazda MX-5 Miata is offering right now.

At this point, it is all just speculations right now but would you like to see that happen for the Mazda MX-5 Miata?
