Mazda showed off the updated Mazda 6 with powerful engines last week at the LA Auto Show and while most people liked what Mazda had to offer, some people were hoping that Mazda would consider offering the Mazda 6 with an all-wheel-drive system in the future.

Although most people think it would not happen, Mazda did say that they understand where their fans are coming from and that they are actually looking into it. However, before you get your hopes up, Mazda also added that the reason why they did not offer the Mazda 6 with all-wheel drive is because they can’t combine the drive system and their turbo engine.

Mazda continues to say that they understand four wheel drive is in demand right now but with the turbo engine, we don’t think that will happen. Maybe if Mazda can find a way to combine them or maybe prefer the Mazda 6 without the standard 2.5-liter engine?
