The Kia Forte has just received an upgrade not too long ago so it was a surprise that Kia decided to give it a complete redesign this year.
The 2019 Kia Forte will come with an upgraded front that is based on the Stinger. Features like the headlights and X motif will all be making its way to the Kia Forte. The new wider grille and other upgrades will give the Forte a more aggressive front.
Kia also announces that the Kia Forte will be coming with a new 2.0 liter Atkinson-cycle four-cylinder engine that will be offering about 147hp and 132lb ft of torque which is about the same as the previous model but Kia promise that the upgrade will allow the vehicle to offer better fuel economy. Kia has not announced the numbers yet.
The new engine will be mated to a CVT which is also the first in-house developed CVT by Kia. According to Kia, the new transmission would be suitable for those accustomed to traditional automatics.
The vehicle will come in three trim levels, the LX, S, and EX.
