We have been waiting for Infiniti to offer a real compact luxury SUV segment for some time now and finally, we have it. So how does the Infiniti QX50 compare to their rivals like the BMW X3?
In terms of design, we won’t say that it is the most attractive compact luxury segment right now but it does look good. Under the hood is a 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine which will be offering about 268hp and will be mated to a CVT. The BMW X3, on the other hand, offers about 248hp with its 2.0-liter turbo I4 engine right now.
The Infiniti QX50 is also lighter compared to the BMW X3. The Infiniti QX50 has a combined fuel economy of 30mpg while the BMW X3 has 25mpg to offer but taking into consideration the extra power you get from the QX50, some people might be willing to overlook that.
The 2019 Infiniti QX50 will retail for $37,545 while the BMW X3 will retail for $43,645.
