Hyundai told us that it would be another decade before the Santa Cruz ute was rolled out to the dealerships. The design of it is almost complete but the car maker doesn’t think that the time is right at the moment to launch the vehicle.
The production is being finalized at the moment and it is thought that the 2019 Hyundai Santa Cruz could make its way to the LA Auto Show or if not perhaps the 2017 Detroit Auto Show.
The shape and the proportions of the 2019 Hyundai Santa Cruz shouldn’t be changed while they smooth things out. This is expected to be the aggressive lines and contours of the vehicle to make it easier on the eye when it goes into production.
The 2019 Hyundai Santa Cruz was first announced when the second generation Honda Ridgeline was revealed and it is going up against the Honda HR-V, Subaru Outback and the crossover that has been based around the Ram 1500.
The Hyundai Santa Cruz has been based on the Hyundai Tucson and it isn’t going to be able to double as a workhorse with medium weight. It is technically a pickup truck, but it happens to be more of a crossover that comes with a bed.
