We heard from Hyundai that we are not going to see the Hyundai Santa Cruz before the turn of the decade but the design of the vehicle has been completed more or less. Still the car maker thinks that now it’s the right time to launch the vehicle.

The production version is said to being close to finalized and we may it arrive at the 2016 LA Auto Show or if not then the 2017 Detroit Auto Show.

It is unlikely that Hyundai is going to change the proportions or the shape of the Hyundai Santa Cruz but they could smooth some of the more aggressive lines out to make the vehicle easier on the eye.

When it arrives on the market it is thought that the 2019 Hyundai Santa Cruz is going to take on both the Outback and the Ram 1500 crossover.

It was announced close to Honda revealing the Honda Ridgeline, however the Hyundai Santa Cruz is not going to be able to double up as the workhorse like the Ridgeline as it more like a crossover with a bed than a pickup.
