We got to see the Honda Insight concept at Detroit so we already have an idea of what to expect but what we did not know was much mush the Insight Hybrid model was going to offer.

The Honda Insight Hybrid will come riding on the Honda Civic platform and will be assembled at the same plant as the Honda Civic and Honda CR-V. Under the hood is a 1.5 liter Atkinson Cycle four-cylinder engine that will be paired with a generator motor and propulsion motor. The Hybrid engine will be offering about 151hp and 197lb ft of torque.

According to Honda, the Honda Insight Hybrid should be offering about 55mph in the city which means it will match what models like the Toyota Prius is offering right now.

The Honda Insight Hybrid interior will look similar to what we have seen on other Honda models like the Honda Civic. Customers will get to choose from three trim option. Features like LED lights, heated side mirrors, and 16inch alloy wheels will come as standard features on the base model.
