As part of their electric plan, Honda announces that they will be offering a hybrid version of the Honda Insight which will be making its debut at the Detroit Auto Show at the end of this month but we won’t have to wait until the to learn more about the vehicle.
It looks like Honda want us to learn more about the vehicle before they officially take the covers off. Here is what they have revealed so far. The new Honda Insight will come with a set of LED lights in the front and in the back. The vehicle will be fitted with the flying grille, the same grille that Honda has been fitting on their other Honda models.
On the inside, we will find an 8-inch touchscreen, a 7inch LCD driver meter, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto support. The Honda Sensing feature will be offered as standard on all model and it will include safety features like automatic emergency braking, road departure mitigation, lane departure warning, adaptive cruise control and more.
Powering the Honda Insight is a 1.5-liter Atkinson-cycle engine that will be paired with an electric motor. No word on how much the engine will be offering and the range of the hybrid model.
