At the Detroit Auto Show this year, we got to see the new Chevrolet Silverado but the GMC Sierra was nowhere to be found. It is believed that GM did that so that people would start seeing the Silverado and Sierra as different models.
Based on the latest spy images of the GMC Sierra, it is clear that there will be more design differences to separate the Sierra from its Chevrolet twin. Looking at these new spy shots taking from Los Angeles, it is clear that the Sierra will be fitted with a different grille, headlight, and foglight. The fenders on the Sierra looks squarish.
While the exterior might look different this time, most people believe that Chevrolet Silverado engines will most likely be carried over as well. The Silverado was given three engine option including the 5.3 liter V8, 6.2 liter V8 and 3.0 liter inline six diesel engine.
The GMC Sierra will mostly like make its debut at the Chicago Auto Show happening next month.
