Most automakers have made it clear that they are looking to move away from the manual transmission but it looks like Genesis still think that there is a market for it as it was revealed that the upcoming Genesis G70 might be coming with a manual transmission.

According to Car and Driver, Genesis did also listed out the EPA numbers for the G70 with manual transmission along with the fuel economy for the other models. Genesis later did confirm it.

However, there is a price to pay. If you are looking to get the manual transmission, you will have to make do with the rear wheel drive configuration. The all-wheel-drive system will only be offered with the automatic transmission.

With the stick, the Genesis G70 will return about 18mpg in the city and 28mpg on the highway which will be lower than what the automatic transmission will be offering but maybe the trade-off will be worth it.
