After being away from the US market for so long, Ford will really have to make sure the Ford Ranger is good enough if they plan to compete with all the new rivals they have here in the US.

We know that the Ford Ranger will be getting a new design that is based on the Ford F-150 but there is more. In the latest shareholder meeting, Ford also reveals that the Ford Ranger could be sporting a body-on-frame design, something Jeep is known to offer.

This will help reduce the production cost of the Ford Ranger and in return, Ford can lower down the selling price of the Ranger making it easier for the Ranger to compete with models like the Chevrolet Colorado, Toyota Tacoma, Honda Ridgeline, Nissan Frontier and more.

There is not a whole lot of details right now but hopefully, Ford will reveal more about the Ranger soon.
