BMW has plans to offer up full electric vehicles of the BMW 3-Series, BMW X4 and the MINI. At this moment there hasn’t been anything official said but it is thought that the car maker could approve it before the end of the month.

The BMW 3-Series with zero emissions may perhaps be the most interesting as the BMW i3 is in need of help and it could give it. Of course it could also be retaliation to the Tesla Model 3.

The sales in July and August did happen to be impressive and of course the sales of the all-electric version of the BMW i3 haven’t been doing too well. The sales through the end of August fell by 13% when compared to the same period last year.

Some people have blamed it on the fact that the hatchback doesn’t come with good looks. Some people say that these take away from the premium look along with sharp driving dynamics. The price tag also goes against it as this is $42, 400.

The BMW 3-Series has been a sales leader for the car maker so it does make sense for them to offer up an all-electric version of the sedan that would perhaps help to complement the BMW i3.
