When Aston Martin first announce that they were going to build a new EV called the RapidE, LeEco was supposed to be their investment partner but things took a turn for the worst as it was announced that LeEco will be pulling out from the project putting Aston Martin in a very difficult position.
As of now, Aston Martin still has Williams Advanced Engineering to rely on but some people fear that that is not going to be enough at the end of the day. Aston Martin has also decided to scale things down for now and reveal that they will only be producing a third of what they originally decided which means we will only see 155 units of the RapidE around.
The new Aston Martin RapidE is expected to come in with a $255,000 price tag. More details will be revealed soon as we get closer to the unveiling of the new RapidE electric vehicle.
