2018 Toyota Tacoma All Set To Take On Ranger And Wrangler
GM, Honda and Nissan haven’t shown us any signs that they will be able to catch up with Toyota sales in the mid-sized segment. The Toyota Tacoma up to now has been in control but the margin is slight. This has been down to the fact that there really hasn’t been much by way of competition for it.
One of the things that most appeals about the Chevrolet Colorado is that it comes with the 2.8 litre Duramax engine. It comes in with a price tag of $31, 700, which is about the same as the Honda Ridgeline.
The Nissan Frontier meanwhile has tried to improve sales by 45% this year but then this vehicle really needs a big overhaul. The Toyota Tacoma doubled the sales of the Nissan at the end of last month, so it is steaming ahead.
Toyota wants to boost the Toyota Tacoma capacity but then they will need to face intense competition. At the moment the Jeep Wrangler is hard to beat for popularity and we could see it entering into the mid-sized pickup market. The Toyota Ranger will fight the Tacoma in the same way as the Toyota Hilux in the global market.
The two entries are well known as being difficult for going off the road but they are going to give the Toyota Tacoma a good fight in a way that its peers in the US haven’t been able to do so far.
