The 2018 Toyota Camry has been revealed and the vehicle comes with a design that has more appeal, an interior that has been improved, more character and its available in a hybrid version that will pick up where the Toyota Prius left off, for fuel economy.

The new hybrid version of the Toyota Camry will offer up the 2.5 litre Atkinson four cylinder engine with CVT and it will come with a sport mode that means the driver can make simulated gear changes. The Hybrid SE comes with paddle shifter and thi should offer up a driving experience that is more fun.

The battery pack on the 2018 Toyota Camry hybrid is situated under the back seat and this means that the centre of gravity has been lowered and it helps with the driving performance and handling of the vehicle.

Toyota hasn’t said whether the battery is going to be nickel-metal hybrid or lithium-ion. What we do know about the vehicle is that it offered a new look to the front end and there is now a two piece grille and the upper one has the blue Toyota logo on the hybrid.

The 2018 Toyota Camry was built around the Toyota New Global Platform and this means that it is wider, two inches longer in length and lower to the ground. The steering has been sharpened and there is now double wishbone suspension at the rear. The inside offer high grade soft touch materials and the seating in the front is now more supportive.

The cabin offers the new Entune 3.0 multimedia system and this comes with Remote Connect, vehicle status notifications and vehicle finder, among other things. It offers the review camera as standard along with the Safety Sense package and this comes with pre-collision system complete with radar cruise control, lane departure alert and pedestrian detection.

We are expecting the 2018 Toyota Camry Hybrid to be available later on this summer alongside the gas engines.
