2018 Toyota C-HR: What No One Knows
The 2018 Toyota C-HR is making its way to the auto show in Los Angeles and this is going to be its debut in the US. Right now we don’t know what powertrains to expect with the vehicle in the US, however many people believe that the hybrid is going to be among them.
The 2018 Toyota C-HR made its way around Geneva, Paris and Europe and now it’s going to be shown off in all its glory in the US for the first time. Along with not knowing what to expect by way of the engines we also don’t know much about the final design of the car.
We did see the prototype of the 2018 Toyota C-HR in Michigan back in April and if this is anything to go on then we expect it to take on the same looks as the European version. The prototype in the US had the same styling and this applied to the overall shape, the body line and the rear, which is truncated.
One thing that does seem to have changed for the US version compared to the European is the lights. On the prototype the tail lights do take on a different look to those on the European version.
In Europe the 2018 Toyota C-HR offers up the 1.8 litre gas-hybrid engine offering 122 horses and a 1.2 litre turbocharged offering 115 horses, along with a 2 litre that gives up about 150 horses. The US isn’t likely to get the same offerings so we are going to have to wait for news.
