Porsche is looking to send out a threat to the Corvette ZR1 by way of the 2018 Porsche 911 GT2 RS and its 650 horses.

The 2018 Porsche 911 GT2 RS is just one of the two variations of the vehicle that the carmaker is sending out this year. The first is the 911 GT3 and this will be shown off at the Geneva Auto Show in March. It will come with the 4 litre flat-six engine that will offer around 500 horses. This is going to be the same six cylinder that is behind the GT3 RS and 911 R that you can only get if you have an insane amount of cash to offer on the used market.

The Porsche 911 GT3 is going to offer up the six speed transmission in manual for the first time ever but there is also going to be a seven speed dual clutch auto with shift paddles.

Also coming our way is the Porsche 911 GT2 RS and this was designed to be used around the track and will offer the 3.8 litre twin-turbocharged flat-six offering 650 horses. The vehicle is going to be offered with rear-wheel drive and we don’t know if it will be manual or dual-clutch or perhaps both that are offered.

We are expecting to hear more details about both the Porsche 911 GT2 RS and the GT3 the closer we get to the Auto Show in Geneva.
