2018 Mazda CX-5 Giving Mazda The Start They Needed

By  |

While the Mazda CX-5 was one of the most popular SUV in the market last year, it was not enough to keep the sales number up for Mazda as it was reported that Mazda had a 2.8% drop in sales but things are starting to look better for them this year.

It was reported that Mazda sales went up by 15% in the first month of these years which is a good start for them. It was also added that part of that success was because of the Mazda CX-5 with a month-over-month gain of 66%.

However, the Mazda CX-5 was not the only one that had a big jump in January. It was reported that the Mazda CX-9 when from 1600 units last January to 2300 this January. Even the smaller Mazda CX-3 also went from 1200 last January to 1350 this January. An overall improvement for Mazda models.

This would have looked even better for Mazda if the conventional cars did not drag the numbers down a little. The Mazda6 sales drop by half while the Mazda Miata sales went from 900 to 400.
