The Honda Civic might have gotten a head turning new design but Mazda is here to show them that design is not everything.

The 2018 Mazda 3 will be coming in with an upgraded design but it is nowhere near what the Civic will be offering. While the Mazda 3 might lose out when it comes to design, they still have more up their sleeves.

According to Mazda, the 2018 Mazda 3 will be coming in with a new Skyactive-G engine that will help greatly reduce the fuel consumption rate of the vehicle. Instead of using the spark plugs to ignite the fuel, the new engine will use pressure.

Mazda added that the new method would improve the fuel efficiency of the Mazda 3 by 30% which is a huge upgrade. With the upgrade, the Mazda 3 will be offering about 43mpg on average while the Honda Civic will only be able to offer about 35mpg on average.

If it was up to you, would you go for the Mazda 3 and its new engine or the Honda Civic and its sporty new design?
