The 2018 Kia GT is a Genesis G70 365 horsepower in disguise. The real-wheel drive sedan with the sporty looks has been based around the concept that was first seen at the 2011 Frankfurt Auto Show and it has now been outed.
Spy photos of the 2018 Kia GT have leaked and from what we can see it looks like a pre-production model. It does have some influences taken from the concept, but for the most part the concept was toned down on the production versions.
At the moment it hasn’t been given an official name, however, it has been labelled as a Stinger and in Korea it is going to have the label of K8.
The 2018 Kia GT is twinned with the Genesis G70 that we are also expecting to make its way out. It is thought that the platform is going to be a shorter version of the one on the Genesis G80 and the G90. We are expecting around 365 horses out of the top of the range V6 turbocharged engine and rear-wheel drive with the 8 speed auto transmission. It is also possible that an hybrid and inline-4 version might be offered.
The price tag of the 2018 Kia GT is going to come in-between the Cadenza at $32k and the K900 at $50k and it will take on the BMW 4-Series Gran Coupe and the Audi A5 Sportback, when it arrives.
